“Uh oh” - @halfadams (x)

Does that mean Trevor is back, guys? OH MY GOD, YESSS!

What if now that Harvey is angry at Mike, Mike starts falling into all his old bad habits? Like hanging out with this guy? Because Mike doesn’t know what to do in a world where Harvey isn’t there to support him. And he just feels so alone more than he has in ages, because suddenly everything’s wrong. Grammy’s gone, Rachel has to hate him after learning the truth about Harvard, Donna — despite her own personal feelings towards him — will always, always be on Harvey’s side, and Jessica will never be in his corner so that she can protect her own, Jenny hasn’t spoken to him in months, Harvey practically hates him, and even sweet, naive Harold is gone. And so in a moment of weakness after what felt like the longest day at the office ever, of being constantly ignored by everyone with case upon case piled on top of his desk until he couldn’t take it anymore and he found himself biking in the other direction instead of heading home until he was standing on Trevor’s front step with his hand still raised. And maybe Trevor isn’t one hundred percent happy to see him, but he’s already too high to really care and invites Mike inside and it’s all that he’s wanted and missed for so long. So he takes a drag of the joint and pretends not to think of the last time he did this with Harvey and leans his head back onto the familiar curve of Trevor’s couch and asks if there’s any leftover pizza in the fridge.
He knows this is a bad idea — a terrible one — but mike just needs to not think for a moment and Trevor has always been able to give him that.

Oh my god the comment. No omg (but I think he’s only back for another past episode)

Some things never change, some things always just fit - as much as they shouldn’t, Mike knows that, knows that it’s a bad fit, no matter how snuggly things snap into place the moment he’s standing outside Trevor’s door. Even after he knocked he thought about leaving, running down the stairs and back to the safety of the libraries at Pearson Hardman, but the thing is - the thing is he can’t. Because Trevor opens the door and despite the glare he gets in greeting he lets him in and it all just fits.
“Why did we ever stop doing this?” Trevor asks hours later, Mike is hazy and relaxed and for the first time it doesn’t feel like the world is just waiting to fall in on him. There isn’t anything to worry about, nothing hurts and he can’t come up with a single reason why this was ever a bad idea.
“Pass me that,” Mike reaches out, sloppily and snags the joint from Trevor and lets the slow burn of it fill his chest, lets himself get lost in this and doesn’t think about anything but the heat of it, of the smoke, and Trevor and just how god damn right it is. Just like it always has been.
He’d always come back to Trevor in the end.

Merlin AU - Scholarly Pursuits
a university student/teacher AU for Caitlin

There are a few things Merlin knows for certain: he’s clever, he learns fast, he has an unhealthy caffeine habit and a slightly overzealous passion for old dusty stories, his handwriting is messy, he’ll never understand the rules of football, and his research supervisor is completely, unfairly fit. And off-limits.

But even knowing all that Merlin can’t help the skip in his heart when Pendragon praises him or his work. Or the warmth that pools in his stomach when he realizes they’ve been discussing Merlin’s thesis, and Pendragon’s—Arthur’s—work for hours without either of them getting tired. Or the shiver down his spine when Arthur leans over a book with him—tracing the words with his fingers, speaking low and close to his ear—and Merlin has to resist the urge to lean against Arthur, into the solidity of his body.

And so there are a few things Merlin knows he wants and doesn’t want. He wants to finish his thesis with honours, and to publish at least one paper before the end of the year. He wants to work with Arthur, but he also wants Arthur, but he doesn’t want to get expelled, or for Arthur to lose his job, or to change program or school, or to stop coming into Arthur’s office with a coffee at the end of the day, and for Arthur to look up from the papers he’s grading, hair messy and tie loosened, and for his face to split into a grin at the sight of Merlin.

It’s a bit of a mess really, but Merlin’s up to the challenge. After all, he’s clever and fast and he might not know how to play football, but there are other games he’s willing to bet he can learn how to play.
